At WAY Radio, we are so thankful that there are many people who CHOOSE to give to WAY Radio financially. Those types of partners keep the Gospel going out through WAY Radio, and we know that God has used WAY Radio to provide for spiritual growth for many … maybe even you! Sharathon is a time for all of us to provide for one of the things that is important in your life. A firm foundation has been laid for WAY Radio, but there are so many people who still need to be impacted, and we’re excited to partner alongside you. In fact, we “Praise God For That”. Who Got Blessed In 2024
For the fourth year, WAY Radio partnered with Southeastern Bank and a few business sponsors to provide blessings to area residents who need something positive to happen for them. During November and December, WAY Radio asked listeners to nominate an individual or a family who, through no fault of their own, were facing a tough time right now. Entries for “Christmas Blessings” went to the staff at Southeastern Bank and a total of nine recipients were chosen to receive a $500 blessing to help make Christmas better this year. Bart Wagner, from the WAY Radio morning show spoke with many of the listeners who did the nominating and found out some powerful stories. Sharathon …Thank You
The Fall Sharathon, “Firm Foundation”, was Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The listeners are supporters of 90.7 FM WAY Radio came up huge in an attempt to erase a $40,000 deficit in the station’s budget. More than $36,000 was pledged during Sharathon from listeners in the Golden Isles, and even from around the country from some listening on the app. A little more than $10K was pledged before Sharathon started, and more than $26K came in on October 30. Originally the Sharathon was to be held earlier in October but the hurricanes forced us to move the event. Because of the damage that the hurricanes caused to many in the Southeast, we wanted to take a portion of what was given during Sharathon and use it to help families in need. Mtn2Sea ministries is a St. Simons based ministry that is on the ground in many of the communities … they are providing generators, food, and more all in an effort to show God’s love. We wanted to send 10% of what came in on October 30 to help with disaster recovery, and so your donations are not only providing spiritual food through WAY Radio, but also real food and help for those who need it. They’re usually also involved in community outreach. One of the best ways you can show appreciation to your leaders is by offering to help them with outreach. Whether that’s feeding the homeless, sharing Christ on the streets, or visiting the sick, one of the best ways to honor your pastor is to give your time—ministering side-by-side with them. 5. Give Them a “Day Off” One Sunday If you want to give your pastor a meaningful gift then one of the best ways is to give them some time. Pastors typically work every Sunday without a break for years on end. If you want to make their day, then give them a day off.
