Year-End Giving
At WAY Radio, we’re grateful that you are part of our listening family. We’re able to HAVE a listening family because of our financial partners, because without partners, we wouldn’t be able to continue. As 2022 winds down, would you consider joining the financial partners in making sure that WAY Radio is there for you and your neighbors in 2023? A gift given in December will still count as a tax-deductible contribution … which could help you pay a little less in taxes when April rolls around. Giving is quick and simple on our website, HERE, or if you prefer to mail in a gift, make out your check to WAY Radio and send it to 1426 Newcastle Street, Suite 200; Brunswick GA 31520. As long as it gets in the mail before the clock strikes midnight on December 31, it will help us end 2022 strong and ready to minister to you in the next year. THANK YOU!
Giving Tuesday

Everyone knows about Black Friday … that’s the day that we all get great deals at retailers leading up to Christmas. Initially it was fairly common for businesses to get out of the red and into the black financially for the year. We all spend a lot of money on Black Friday because we love our family and friends and want to give them things. After all the Bible does say it’s better to give than it is to receive. Carrying that thought over a few days, a few years back “Giving Tuesday” was begun as a day of generosity. The Tuesday immediately after Black Friday became one of the biggest donation days of the year for many non-profits, including WAY Radio. If you’d like to take part in this day of generosity, we want to make it easy for you right here on the website. Clicking HERE will take you to our donate page. Thank you for being generous, and in doing so helping to spread the love of Jesus through YOUR radio station.

Thanksgiving – Thanking God

At this time of year, it’s common to just be thankful without remembering WHO we should be thankful TO. We’re thankful for God’s gift of salvation. We’re thankful for friends and family. We’re thankful for jobs. We’re thankful for a free country. But it’s God who provides all things for us. God meets our needs, as it says in Philippians 4:19. Join the staff and the other listeners of WAY Radio in spending some time being thankful to God for all He is and for all He does. Want to go public with your thankfulness? Leave us a recorded comment that we can use on the air … 912-342-4106. Here are 17 Bible verses to help you reflect on the abundant blessings of God. Please note that all Bible verses are from the NIV unless otherwise noted. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Psalm 103:1-4 Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all His benefits — who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. Colossians 2:6-7 (NKJV) As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Isaiah 12:4-5 (NASB) And on that day you will say, “Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; make them remember that His name is exalted.” Praise the LORD in song, for He has done glorious things; let this be known throughout the earth. James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 1 Chronicles 16:34 (ESV) Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever! Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” Psalm 95:1-5 (NKJV) Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth’ the heights of the hills are His also. The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land. Philippians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Psalm 118:24 (ESV) This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Colossians 3:15-17 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. 1 Chronicles 29:13 (NKJV) “Now therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name.” Ephesians 5:18-20 (NASB) … but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your hearts to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to our God and Father. Psalm 107:1-3 (ESV) Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever! Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He has redeemed from trouble and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south. Hebrews 13:15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise — the fruit of lips that openly profess His name. Psalm 119:1-8 Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD. Blessed are those who keep His statutes and seek Him with all their heart — they do no wrong but follow His ways. You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed. Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees! Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands. I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me. 2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

Business Supporters Make A Difference

“Thank you” is not a strong enough phrase to fully appreciate what the business community does to help WAY Radio reach out and encourage you. Some Christian-run businesses in Glynn county have been supporting WAY Radio financially for more than a decade. They do it because they want to support the station … and you … they aren’t always supporting WAY Radio to help their business grow. If you love the music of WAY Radio and want to partner with us in encouraging our community, you too can join our business support team. These organizations make a monthly donation to support the programming, and in return we are allowed by the FCC to air “thank you” announcements letting our listeners know the services you provide. If you want to see a list of which businesses are investing in the Golden Isles, and in YOUR radio station, or if you want to find out more about joining the support team, just click this link.
